Run the ballot
The selected total is rounded down to the nearest number divisible by 12 so all six teams have an even number of members. The draw aims for an equal gender split, or the fairest possible split where one gender has fewer entrants.

Step 3
Create and name six teams
Each team receives the same even number of runners. Gender is spread as evenly as mathematically possible.
Step 4
Enter heat results
1st = 6 points, 2nd = 5, 3rd = 4, 4th = 3, 5th = 2 and 6th = 1.
